The first Enjoy Elmbridge Day on 2 July was a great success with family fun across six towns and villages in the borough.
Enjoy Elmbridge was organised by the Elmbridge Business Network to encourage residents to come out and support their local traders and high streets to bring the community together.
The day featured street performance in Walton, special offers galore with the Claygate fiverfest, street art in Weybridge, live music in Bridge Road Molesey and treasure hunts in Esher and Thames Ditton.
Chairman of the Elmbridge Business Network Gary State said “It was great to see so many of our towns and villages working together to deliver the first Enjoy Elmbridge Day. There was a real buzz across our high streets and the feedback from everyone involved has been really positive.”
Wilfred Saywell from Thames Ditton was the lucky winner of the treasure hunt prize draw receiving £50 to spend at one of the participating local businesses.
Wilfred who has chosen to spend his prize with Stitchery on the High Street in Thames Ditton said “I really enjoyed the treasure hunt with my family and I’m thrilled with winning the prize to spend in my favourite shop. Thank you to the business network for a fun day out.”
